Doug Stow

Dr. Douglas (Doug) Stow is a Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Geography at San Diego State University (SDSU) and has been on the faculty at SDSU for 38 years. He has worked in the remote sensing field for almost 45 years. He is the primary instructor of remote sensing courses at SDSU and Co-Director of the Center for Earth Systems Analysis Research, which he co-founded in 1986. His research emphasizes multi-temporal image analysis, with an emphasis on mapping and monitoring of land use and land cover, vegetation and habitat condition, and wildfire spread and recovery processes.
