DAY ONE

A Model for Transformational Adaptation

Day one will feature an interactive experience exploring the Connecting Wildlands and Communities project, a model for advancing transformational adaptation through interdisciplinary collaboration to support resilience for ecosystems and local communities.

Hands-On Training

Day two will include a hands-on training experience for practitioners interested in cultivating meaningful and authentic collaborations with Indigenous communities.

DAY THREE

Climate Conversations

Day three will serve as an opportunity for roundtable conversations focused on overcoming challenges to fire and forest management in the Southwest. Forum attendees will have the opportunity to actively engage with practitioners, leaders, and researchers across topics related to fire management, cultural burning, and emerging initiatives throughout the region.

Due to the limited capacity of our digital platforms and overwhelming interest in past events, attendance at the 2021 Southwest Adaptation Forum is by application only.

However, thanks to a generous gift, we are able to make this limited-capacity event free for accepted applicants.

Registration closes on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021 at 5:00PM PST.

This application does not guarantee attendance – coordinators will contact you if your application is approved.
